Named after Accrington’s biggest export, the Nori bricks—the world’s strongest bricks, also known as the “king of bricks.” The foundation of the Empire State Building is built from these incredible bricks. Why “Nori”? The letters “IRON” were accidentally placed backwards in the brick moulds, thus spelling “NORI.”
